and in sight; if so, they
appear on one line of instructions.
LEFT on 23 West to first Traffic Light.
LEFT at light on to Shirk Road. Keep going straight ahead.
Look for 15 mph sharp turn sign, going left then right. WATCH!
After sharp left take second
RIGHT
on Centerville
Road.
(Note: these two
events happen quickly; 2nd
RIGHT is just past Shirk Road.)
At STOP sign, go STRAIGHT on to 772 South to Intercourse, PA.
At Traffic Light turn RIGHT on 340 West.
Next LEFT on Clearview. Big Sign for Harvest Home at intersection.
LEFT at STOP sign then RIGHT on Belmont. You can see both turns.
Continue on Belmont going through Eshelman's Mill Covered Bridge.
At STOP sign, turn RIGHT on US 30.
About 3.3 miles ahead, turn LEFT at Traffic Light on Ronks Road.
Look at Herr's Mill Covered Bridge on your left.
After STOP sign/bend in road, turn RIGHT on Paradise Lane.
Bear RIGHT at "Y" on Fairview Road.
At "T" turn RIGHT on Gap Road (becomes Main St.).
Go through Strasburg on PA 741.
At "Y" bear LEFT on Miller Street.
At next "Y" at edge of Strasburg bear LEFT on Lime Valley Road.
At "T" make a RIGHT on Hagers Road.
After bend in road go STRAIGHT on Penn Grant Road.
Follow Penn Grant to Neff's Mill Covered Bridge.
After bridge make a LEFT on Pequea Lane. CAUTION: Off camber!
At "T" turn RIGHT on Lime Valley Road. (may be STOP sign at end)
Look left! Make a LEFT on Breneman Road to Lime Valley Covered Bridge.
Continue to STOP sign at US 222.
Cross US 222 bearing just ever so slightly right on to Main Street (may appear straight).
Turn LEFT on Refton Road.
At STOP, turn RIGHT on Smithville Road (bears right).
Continue STRAIGHT as road becomes Byerland Church
Road. Stay right at bend!
(there is a bend to the left
while Byerland goes straight)
Continue (for some time!) on Byerland, crossing STRAIGHT over a four lane highway.
Eventually becomes Covered Bridge Road through Baumgardner's Mill Covered Bridge.
At "T" intersection turn RIGHT on Frogtown Road. CAUTION: Blind intersection to the left.
Turn LEFT on PA 324 which is Marticville Road.
Follow Marticville Road thru one lane underpass
Cross cement bridge, turn LEFT with caution on Fox Hollow Road.
Continue to Colemanville Covered Bridge. Photo op after bridge.
Take first LEFT on Bridge Valley Road.
Turn LEFT on River Road to STOP.
Turn LEFT then RIGHT staying on River Road
Go up a hill, then turn RIGHT on Sickman's Mill Road.
At STOP turn LEFT on Sandhill Road.
Turn RIGHT on Shady Lane. (white house just before turn)
At STOP turn RIGHT on Main Street.
Becomes New Danville Pike. Continue for a few miles.
Turn RIGHT on Long Lane.
Go STRAIGHT thru 4 way stop; becomes PA 741.
Turn LEFT at Traffic Light on Eshelman Mill Road.
Watch for park area, turns in road and turn LEFT on Kiwanis.
(if you get to a steel grate bridge, you missed it! To recover, continue and turn LEFT on Golf and LEFT on Kiwanis. Go thru bridge, turn around, and continue, skipping next line)
Go thru park. RIGHT at STOP. Photo op before bridge.
Go thru Kurtz's Mill Covered Bridge to STOP.
Turn RIGHT at STOP on Golf Road.
Turn LEFT at STOP on Eshelman Mill Road.
Turn RIGHT on Millport Road.
Turn LEFT on Lampeter Road.
STRAIGHT across intersection; becomes Pitney Road.
After underpass: Turn RIGHT on Hempstead Road.
At Traffic Light, turn LEFT on Greenfield Road.
Turn RIGHT just after Hampton Inn into parking lot for Bird in Hand Deli.
Break for lunch. 1 & 1/2 hours allotted. Meet here for next loop.
Turn LEFT on Greenfield Road and go to Traffic Light.
Turn LEFT at light, following signs for US 30 West.
Follow US 30 to RIGHT hand exit for US 222 North.
Take RIGHT hand exit for PA 272. Note: multiple exit, look for PA 272.
At bottom of hill, turn LEFT for PA 272. You are still approaching 272.
At PA 272 turn LEFT on 272 South.
About 2 miles ahead at Sunoco station and Traffic Light, turn LEFT on Church Street.
At next intersection turn RIGHT on Reamstown Road.
Thru town, turn RIGHT on Cocalico Creek Road.
Watch & make next LEFT turn thru Bucher's Mill Covered Bridge.
Continue & turn LEFT on PA 272 South.
Take RIGHT hand exit for US 322 West.
At sign for Lincoln House (left) & Traffic Light; turn LEFT on Market St.
At STOP turn RIGHT then quick LEFT on Lincoln Rd. Turns in sight.
Go over a creek and turn LEFT at " T" on Brubaker Rd.
At next "Y" bear LEFT staying on Brubaker Rd.
At next intersection turn RIGHT on Middle Creek Rd.
At next intersection turn RIGHT on Erb's Bridge Rd to Erb's Covered Bridge.
After bridge take next LEFT on Millway Rd.
Take next LEFT on Meadow Valley Rd.
About 2 miles, turn RIGHT on Rettew Mill Rd. to Rettew's Mill Covered Bridge.
After bridge at STOP, turn LEFT on Rothsville Rd.
At Traffic Light, turn RIGHT on PA 272 South.
Go 3.8 miles & look on right for a sign "Log Cabin"; turn RIGHT on Rosehill.
Turn LEFT at Log Cabin sign on left and go thru Log Cabin Covered Bridge.
Photo op & parking on left after bridge.
Continue STRAIGHT on Log Cabin to STOP & turn RIGHT on Church St.
At STOP, turn RIGHT on PA 772.
Continue STRAIGHT going under Highway 222 overpass to Traffic Light.
Turn LEFT at Traffic Light & go thru town.
Take next RIGHT over cement bridge on Farmersville Rd.
Bear LEFT at "Y" staying on Farmersville Rd.
STRAIGHT at next intersection.
Turn LEFT on Cats Back Rd.
Go over hill; on downside there is a beautiful view.
At STOP sign, next bridge is in front of you.
Go thru Cider Mill Covered Bridge & make quick RIGHT on Conestoga Creek Rd.
At next "T" stay RIGHT / STRAIGHT on Cabin Creek Rd.
At STOP turn RIGHT on US 322.
At Traffic Light turn LEFT on Martindale Rd.
Continue STRAIGHT as road becomes Lancaster Rd.
At STOP turn RIGHT on Main Street.
Continue STRAIGHT as road becomes Union Grove Rd.
STRAIGHT at intersection with PA 625.
Turn RIGHT on Spring Grove Rd.
Thru sharp left and right turn; then take LEFT on Weaverland Rd.
At "Y" bear LEFT staying on Weaverland Rd.
Go thru Weaver's Mill Covered Bridge.
Take next RIGHT on Churchtown Rd.
At second "Y" turn RIGHT on Pool Forge Rd.
At STOP turn RIGHT on PA 23 West.
Go a few miles to Shady Maple at intersection of 897 & 23.
Turn LEFT on 897 then RIGHT into Shady Maple. EAT!!!
If you continue on PA 23 West, Comfort Inn is 5 minutes ahead on left.
